1st Day of School 2011 and A Depressed Dog

August 17, 2011

This really has been the shortest Summer I can remember. Of course I’m sure that next Summer will go by even faster. The kids were ready and here are some pics of the first day.

Jaden - 2nd Grade

Julian - 6th Grade

Evely - 1st Grade

Poor Louie is completely depressed. Hasn't moved yet.

  1. …Or he’s totally exhausted and couldn’t wait until school starts so we can get into a routine and go to bed at a decent hour and have quiet evenings of reading books and no t.v..

    oh wait, that’s me…

  2. I’ve been thinking of your site since our Pastor’s wife asked me to do a lesson on Casting Crumbs for our Ladies Meeting in late September. It’s an excellent theme, isn’t it?

    • Yes it is! What are you going to talk about? I’m curious…

      • I’m working on the combination of Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 and Matthew 15:24-28, relating to how Christian bloggers cast crumbs of His word and our experiences. In 11:2 we’re told to give a portion. In 5:26 Jesus states He was sent to Israel, yet the woman asked for the crumbs — and received them.

We’re sharing that bread, dividing it up though there are thousands of other blogs. We can’t know who reads, nor what effect it has on their heart. Yet we do find out about results that we never would have expected. Just today I received a picture of two women who got together Sunday at a church service in Manila. I’ve corresponded with one for about three years, and the other less than a month. Who would have thought?

Of course, I’ll have to work in:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11 KJV)
