Chemo and Good News

This is truly a time for THANKSGIVING!

To give everyone an update on Mom, Tuesday she had her surgery to put the port catheter in. She came through that great. She was pretty sore on that side of her body, but by Wednesday it was better.

She had her second chemo treatment Wednesday and came through it fine. No nausea but the fatigue is starting to hit her today. Also, her bladder thing started up again which looks like it may be something that goes along with the chemo treatments.

The good news is that when she went to have her surgery Tuesday, the anesthesiologist talked to her at length because she had had fluid in her lungs. He really looked her over, listened to her lungs and thumped her up and down the back trying to hear any fluid. He could not hear any!! Praise God.

Then yesterday before the chemo treatment, her Dr. examined her and said she was doing well and could hear NO fluid in her abdomen!! Very good news.

Mom will go to have a Cat Scan done in two weeks to check and see how the Cancer is looking. Please be praying for a GREAT report when they do that.

Thank you all for praying. I am truly thankful this season for my family, friendships and for the Lord’s hand in our lives. In the good and bad, God is consistently a loving, good and kind Father. He does long to give His children good gifts.

    Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
    praise him, all creatures here below;
    praise him above, ye heavenly host:
    Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

    Tell your Mother that I am thrilled to hear about No Fluid! Yes, prayers do work. Hope she is up and well by next week. You have many things to be thankful for!

    Give thanks to the Lord. He is good and His mercies endureth forever!

    It is Friday almost 5:00 p.m. I don’t know when I have look so forward to a Friday. This has been a BUSY and FILLED week. But we must stand on His word no matter where we are in our lives. Everyone is experiencing something different and I am sure everyone has had some kind of stress or pressure this week. Is it hard to remember it is in the tough times we grow the most? Well for me me it is hard to keep that in mind at all times.

    I just want to encourage fellow Christians to stand on the scripture I have referred to many times this week:
    The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them. Ps. 34:7

    Teressa gave me a scripture holder. I keep it between my keyboard and computer screen and this has been the scripture I have read so many times this week and I know has helped pull me through.

    Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I think it was in the high 70′s if not in the 80′s out here today. Is that really fair to tell that?

    Till later. Love

    Thanks everyone!

    That’s a great scripture, Aunt C!! I am so glad that he encamps around us. I am glad that his name is a strong tower into which we can run and hide. Sometimes I want to hide and can’t, so at least I can go run and hide in HIM in my spirit when I need to.

    Enjoy your great weather!! It’s getting so cold back here. The leaves are pretty much all gone and the trees are getting prepared for the winter.

    I look forward to a warm house, a Christmas tree lit up in the night, candles, bundled up little bodies with eyes full of wonder at new falling snow!

    Happy Thanksgiving to you to!
